Engineering Intern
The Wenger Group internships offer students a unique exposure to many facets of technology and its relationship with agriculture. The Wenger Group tailors the internship to meet both the student and company objectives for a mutually beneficial experience. In this role, the incumbent will have the opportunity to work in different feed mills within our network. The ideal candidate would have an interest in areas such as manufacturing or engineering. This role is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

What will you do:
Milling Operations
• Develop knowledge in animal nutrition
• Learn or have an understanding in the following feed mill operations:
o Receiving
o Testing
o Grinding
o Hand adds
o Batching
o Pelleting
- Have a general understanding of manufacturing safety and machinery.
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing techniques
Who are you:
- Working toward a degree in agriculture, manufacturing, engineering.
- Accumulated solid foundation of general work experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance preferred.
- Ability to work both with close supervision and independently
- Ability to understand and follow Food Safety Standards - FSMA and SQF, Federal and State regulations
- Demonstrated math and critical thinking skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to climb ladders and work in high places
- Ability to work in dusty conditions
- Ability to work all shifts
